Psykisk ohälsa kan behandlas framgångsrikt med psykologiska metoder, bland annat med olika former med Kognitiv Beteendeterapi (KBT).

En stor andel patienter inom psykiatrin önskar psykologisk behandling men tillgången till evidensbaserad psykologisk behandling är begränsad, särskilt inom den akuta psykiatriska heldygnsvården. I vår forskning undersöker vi införandet av psykologiska interventioner för personer med svår psykisk ohälsa inom akut heldygnsvård.

In English:

Psychological treatments (e.g., CBT) are well established and evidence based for a number of mental health conditions. Many patients wish to receive psychological treatment but the access to such is restricted, especially in acute inpatient settings.

In our research we study the implementation of psychological interventions for persons with severe mental illness in acute inpatient settings.
